Setting up FRITZ!Box for use with a Wind Tre line

The FRITZ!Box is optimally prepared for use with Wind Tre. Simply connect the FRITZ!Box to the internet connection and enter your personal account information in the FRITZ!Box user interface. The complete FRITZ!Box range of functions for internet, telephony, and multimedia is then available to all of the devices in your home network without restriction.

1 Connecting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Either connect the FRITZ!Box to the DSL line or use the "WAN" port to connect the FRITZ!Box with the fiber optic modem (ONT, Optical Network Termination). For detailed information, refer to the quick guide included with the FRITZ!Box and the manual.

2 Configuring the internet connection in the FRITZ!Box

  1. Click "Internet" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Account Information" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Click on the "Internet Connection" tab and then on the "DSL / WAN" tab.
  4. If you are using the FRITZ!Box on a DSL line:
    1. Select "Wind infostrada" from the drop-down list.
  5. If you are using the FRITZ!Box on a fiber optic connection:
    1. Select "Other internet service provider" from the drop-down list.
    2. Enable the option "Connection to an external modem or router" in the "Connect via" area.
    3. Enable the option "Establish own connection to the internet" in the section "Operating Mode".
    4. Enter benvenuto in the "Username" field.
    5. Enter ospite in the "Password" field.
    6. Enter the speeds of your internet connection in the "Downstream" and "Upstream" fields.

Now the FRITZ!Box checks whether the internet connection can be established. Configuration is completed as soon as the message "The internet connection check was successful" is displayed.
