Setting up FRITZ!Box for use with a KONVERTO line

The FRITZ!Box is optimally prepared for use with KONVERTO (formerly: Raiffeisen). Simply connect the FRITZ!Box to the internet connection and enter your personal account information in the FRITZ!Box user interface.

The complete FRITZ!Box range of functions for internet, telephony, and multimedia is then available to all of the devices in your home network without restriction.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

1 Having your account information ready

  1. Have your personal account information for internet access and the login information for telephony that you received from KONVERTO ready.

    Note:KONVERTO sent you the account information via email after you concluded the contract with them. If you did not receive your account information, contact KONVERTO.

2 Connecting the FRITZ!Box

  1. Insert the DSL cable into the "DSL" socket on the FRITZ!Box and into the DSL line.

3 Configuring the internet connection in the FRITZ!Box

  1. Click "Internet" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Account Information" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Click on the "Internet Connection" tab and then on the "DSL / WAN" tab.
  4. Select "KONVERTO DSL" or "Raiffeisen OnLine ADSL" from the drop-down list.
  5. Overwrite the entries in the fields "Username" and "Password" with the account information you received from KONVERTO.
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
  7. Now the FRITZ!Box checks whether an internet connection can be established with the account information you entered. Configuration is complete as soon as the message "The internet connection check was successful" is displayed.

    Important:If the internet connection check fails, your internet access may not have been activated yet. In this case, contact KONVERTO.

4 Setting up telephony in the FRITZ!Box

Configuring telephone numbers

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephone Numbers" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the "New Telephone Number" button.
  4. If shown, enable the option "Internet telephone number" and click "Next".
  5. Select "KONVERTO" from the drop-down list.
  6. Enter your telephone number including the area code by "Internet telephone number".
  7. Enter the login information you received from KONVERTO by "Username" and "Password".
  8. Click "Next" and follow the wizard's instructions.

Assigning telephone numbers

  1. Click "Telephony" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Telephony Devices" in the "Telephony" menu.
  3. Click the (Edit) button for the respective telephony device.

    Important:If the telephony device was not configured yet, click the "Configure New Device" button and follow the wizard's instructions.

  4. From the drop-down list "Outgoing Calls", select the number to be used by the telephony device for making outgoing calls. If you do not select a telephone number, the number entered under "Telephony > Telephone Numbers > Line Settings" is used for making calls.
  5. Select the telephone numbers to which the telephony device should react when you receive calls. You can select up to ten numbers (including the number for outgoing calls).
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
