Supported mobile communications networks

The FRITZ!Box supports all of the mobile communications networks that are common in Europe and can establish internet connections at speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s (FRITZ!Box 6820) and FRITZ!Box 6820v3) or 300 Mbit/s FRITZ!Box 6820v2) via LTE (4G) and up to 42 Mbit/s via UMTS/HSPA+ (3G).

Important:The version number of your FRITZ!Box 6820 is listed on the type label on the underside of the device.

1 Supported LTE frequencies

  • Band 1 (frequency range 2.1 GHz)
  • Band 3 (frequency range 1.8 GHz)
  • Band 5 (only FRITZ!Box 6820 and FRITZ!Box 6820v3, frequency range 850 MHz)
  • Band 7 (frequency range 2.6 GHz)
  • Band 8 (frequency range 900 GHz)
  • Band 20 (frequency range 800 GHz)
  • Band 32 (only FRITZ!Box 6820v2, frequency range 1.4 GHz)
  • Band 38 (only FRITZ!Box 6820v3, frequency range 2.6 GHz)
  • Band 40 (only FRITZ!Box 6820v3, frequency range 2.3 GHz)
  • Band 41 (only FRITZ!Box 6820v3, frequency range 2.5 GHz)

2 Supported UMTS frequencies

  • Band 1 (frequency range 2.1 GHz)
  • Band 5 (only FRITZ!Box 6820 and FRITZ!Box 6820v3, frequency range 850 MHz)
  • Band 8 (frequency range 900 GHz)

3 Supported GSM frequencies

  • GSM 900 (only FRITZ!Box 6820, frequency range 900 MHz)
  • GSM 1800 (only FRITZ!Box 6820, frequency range 1.8 MHz)
