Changing the password for the FRITZ!Box user interface
The FRITZ!Box can be protected from unauthorized access with a password. The passwords of the individual FRITZ!Box users can be changed at any time as needed.
Note:This guide is valid for FRITZ!OS 7.28 or later. If you are using an earlier FRITZ!OS version, the configuration may differ or functions may not be available. You can find the FRITZ!OS version on the "Overview" page of the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "FRITZ!Box Users" in the "System" menu.
- Click the
(Edit) button next to the user for the FRITZ!Box password (for example "fritz1234").
- Enter an individual password that is strong enough. Do not use a password that you already use for other services, such as an email account, Amazon, Facebook, or Google.
- Click "Apply" to save the settings.
