Updating FRITZ!OS of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater

FRITZ!OS is the software stored in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater that controls all of its functions. On a regular basis, we make new versions of FRITZ!OS available that enhance and add new functions to your repeater. You can download these updates free of charge from the Internet.

With the "Online Update" function you can install the latest FRITZ!OS quickly and easily.
If you cannot perform an "online update", for example when the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is not connected to the Internet, update the firmware manually.

1 Updating with "online update"

  1. Click "System" in the user interface of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
  2. Click "Firmware Update" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Online Update" tab and then click the "Find New Firmware" button.
  4. Click the "Start Update" button.

As long as the LEDs flash, the update is still being transferred to the repeater.

ATTENTION!Do not disconnect the repeater from the computer during the update process, and do not unplug the power cord because Interrupting the update process could damage your repeater! However, if the "Power" LED continues to flash 10 minutes after starting the update, unplug the repeater for 5 seconds.

2 Updating the firmware manually
