Determining the MAC address of the FRITZ!Repeater
A MAC address (Media Access Control address) serves as a unique identifier of a device in a network.
Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Repeater.
1 Determining the MAC address with wireless bridge connection type
The following step is only necessary if the FRITZ!Repeater is connected to the wireless router via Wi-Fi:
- Click "Access to Home Network" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
- The MAC address is listed in the section "Local Wi-Fi Network Information".
2 Determining the MAC address with LAN bridge connection type
The following step is only necessary if the FRITZ!Repeater is connected to the router over LAN:
- Click "Wi-Fi" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
- Click "Wi-Fi Network" ("Radio Network") in the "Wi-Fi" ("Wireless") menu.
- The MAC address is listed in the section "Radio Network".
Note:This MAC address is visible to wireless devices that connect to the FRITZ!Repeater's Wi-Fi network. The MAC address for the LAN connection to the router is displayed in the router.
