FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 1750E Service

Connecting FRITZ!WLAN Repeater with the home network via wireless LAN

FRITZ!WLAN Repeater increases the wireless range (WiFi) of your wireless router (for example FRITZ!Box) easily and efficiently. Since it has a LAN port, you can also use the repeater as a LAN bridge.

If you have a FRITZ!Box or another wireless router that supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), safely set up the connection by pushing a button. If your wireless router does not support WPS, configure the wireless connection manually.

1 Using a button to set up the wireless connection

If you are using a FRITZ!Box or a different wireless router that supports WPS, you can connect them safely and conveniently by pushing a button. This automatically integrates the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into the Mesh if your FRITZ!Box supports Mesh.

Loading the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater factory settings

Before you can configure the following settings, you must return the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater to its factory settings:

Configuring the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater as a wireless bridge

Note:We used a FRITZ!Box as an example for setup with WPS. If you are using a different wireless router, refer to the device's manufacturer for information on how to set it up with WPS, for example consult the manual.

  1. For setup, plug the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into an outlet near the FRITZ!Box.
  2. Wait until the "Power" and "WLAN" LEDs on the repeater remain lit.
  3. Briefly push the "WPS" button on the repeater (for about 1 second). The "WLAN" LED starts to flash after you release the button.
  4. Within 2 minutes: Push and hold the connect button on the FRITZ!Box for the time indicated in the table until its "WLAN" LED flashes.

    WLAN about 6 seconds
    WLAN WPS about 6 seconds
  5. One or more of the repeater's signal strength LEDs remain lit once the wireless connection is established and it is integrated into the Mesh.

Finding the ideal location for the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater

To optimally increase the range, the repeater requires a fast and stable wireless connection to the home network:

2 Setting up the wireless connection manually

If your wireless repeater does not support the WPS procedure, you must use the Configuration Wizard to set up the connection manually:
