Energy-saving features of FRITZ!Powerline
The FRITZ!Powerline adapter automatically switches to standby mode about 5 minutes after the network device connected to it (for example a television, computer, game console) is turned off and then has a power consumption of less than 0.5 watts. When this is the case, the LEDs on the adapter are not lit.
Computers that are started over the network are not completely turned off. To allow the adapter to switch to standby mode in spite of this, you must either disable the computer's "Wake on LAN" or "Soft Off" function or use a power strip with its own power switch to completely cut off the computer from the power supply.
