Connecting a wireless device directly with FRITZ!Powerline

If you set up your FRITZ!Powerline adapter as described in our guide Setting up FRITZ!Powerline in the FRITZ!Box home network, the FRITZ!Powerline adapter adopts the wireless network name and network key of the FRITZ!Box during setup. This makes your wireless devices automatically connect with the best wireless LAN.

If you set up the FRITZ!Powerline adapter with individual wireless settings, connect your wireless devices directly with the FRITZ!Powerline adapter.

  • If your wireless device supports using the WPS method to set up connections automatically, set up the connection at the touch of a button.
  • If your wireless device does not support the WPS method, set up the connection manually.
