FRITZ!Box 7330 Service - Knowledge Base
FRITZ!Box reports HTTP access from the Internet from an unfamiliar source
The FRITZ!Box user interface is being accessed via an HTTPS connection at times when you are not aware of an authorized user establishing an HTTPS connection to the FRITZ!Box. When this occurs, the message "HTTPS remote access from IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is displayed in the event log of the FRITZ!Box. In some cases the message includes the public IP address allocated to the FRITZ!Box by the Internet service provider at that time.
1 FRITZ!App Ticker is accessing the FRITZ!Box
The FRITZ!Box records all attempts to access the user interface over HTTPS in the event log. In addition to computers accessing the FRITZ!Box from the Internet, this also includes HTTPS connections from FRITZ!App Ticker when it accesses the FRITZ!Box call list.
Network devices (for example computers, smartphones, tablets) cannot access the FRITZ!Box user interface from the Internet unless the user name and password are known.
