FRITZ!Box 6840 LTE Service

Using the FRITZ!Box as a wireless repeater

You can connect the FRITZ!Box LTE as a wireless repeater to an existing FRITZ!Box (access point). Internet and telephony services configured in the existing FRITZ!Box are then available to the FRITZ!Box LTE configured as the wireless repeater and the devices connected to it, such as computers and telephones. The FRITZ!Box cannot be used as a wireless repeater with a router from another manufacturer.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • Each FRITZ!Box must support the method for increasing Wi-Fi range.
  • The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) of the FRITZ!Box (access point) must be visible.
  • We cannot guarantee that you will not experience problems when watching cable TV content made available by the wireless repeater. We therefore recommend connecting media receivers either directly or by means of a powerline adapter (for example FRITZ!Powerline) to the FRITZ!Box (access point).
