Cannot register a FRITZ!DECT radiator control

Registration of the FRITZ!DECT radiator control, for example FRITZ!DECT 300, to a FRITZ!Box fails. After inserting the batteries in the device, "PREP" or "Gerät wird vorbereitet" is first shown in the display, and then "INST" or "Gerät wird angepasst". However, when you push the "DECT" button on the FRITZ!Box, the DECT connection is not established. The "Radio link" symbol is not shown continuously in the display of the radiator control. The error message "Could not complete registration of the FRITZ! actuator" is displayed in the FRITZ!Box.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.

Simply proceed as described below. After each measure, check whether the problem is solved.

1 Maximum number has been reached

You can register a maximum of twelve radiator controls with the FRITZ!Box. If you already registered twelve devices, you cannot register any additional ones.

Note:Registering a radiator control does not reduce the number of telephones, DECT repeaters, or the number of outlet switches, for example FRITZ!DECT 200, that can be registered.
