FRITZ!Box 3390 Service

FRITZ!Box reports "The modifications to your FRITZ!Box are not supported by the manufacturer"

The FRITZ!Box functions properly, however the message "The modifications to your FRITZ!Box are not supported by the manufacturer" is displayed in the "Overview" page of the user interface.

Cause

  • A FRITZ!OS update failed or an attempt was made to install a FRITZ!OS version that was either unsuitable or not released.

Applying the recovery tool

You can eliminate this message by running the recovery tool. Since the FRITZ!Box functions are not affected by the message, you can also simply ignore it:

  1. Use the recovery tool to reset the FRITZ!Box.
