At the top of every second list: A device with WiFi
One in two people in Germany would like to receive a WiFi-enabled device for Christmas, or is planning on giving one as a gift. This is the result of a representative survey conducted by AVM, which highlights the demand for high-performance WiFi systems. The figure is even higher among 18-39-year-olds, with wireless devices such as smartphones, tablets or smart speakers on the wish list of 64 percent of respondents. The survey was carried out in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. WiFi presents even higher up the list for younger people
The survey reveals that WLAN-enabled devices are particularly popular among 18-39-year-olds: 64 percent of those surveyed are planning on giving or would like to receive a product that communicates wirelessly. WiFi is also important for other age groups. 49 percent of 50-59-year-olds in Germany would like to be given a present that supports WiFi or are planning on placing one under the tree this year for someone else. WLAN devices are also important for the 60- to 69 age group when it comes to choosing Christmas presents.
