FRITZ!Box 4080 − the high-end wireless router for the gigabit home network

With the FRITZ!Box 4080 AVM is presenting a powerful high-end wireless router for the gigabit home network. The newly developed FRITZ!Box 4080 sports a vertical, white design, and can be deployed with ease on cable connections, DSL connections and with fiber optic modems. It supports Wireless AC Wave 2 and, thanks to Multi-User MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology, provides for the best wireless LAN for high-demand home networks. The new wireless router transmits in both frequencies (4 x 4 Multi-User MIMO 5 GHz, 4 x 4 MIMO 2.4 GHz), so that more wireless applications can be operated concurrently, at rates of up to 2.5 Gbit/s (2,533 Mbit/s). Each individual device, regardless of its wireless standard, benefits from faster data throughput as well as improved latency and low power consumption. Streaming 4K videos, online games on consoles and different users with smartphones and tablets using the wireless LAN at the same time − the FRITZ!Box 4080 processes all of this and more in best quality and top speed. The FRITZ!Box 4080 also offers more performance with Wireless N on the 2.4-GHz frequency band. Through a new modulation method (256QAM), 200 Mbit/s can be transmitted on each of four streams, making for up to 800 Mbit/s gross in the 2.4-GHz frequency band. The new FRITZ!Box offers not only ultra-fast wireless LAN, but also one gigabit WAN port, four gigabit LAN ports and two USB 3.0 ports. Two analog telephone sockets, a DECT base station, and an internal ISDN port round out the comprehensive hardware of the new wireless router. With the latest FRITZ!OS, many convenient features like FRITZ!NAS, a media server, wireless guest access, Smart Home, an auto-update function and MyFRITZ are available in the FRITZ!Box 4080.
