Halloween is just a couple of days and you still haven't planned your get-together with friends or your big party for next weekend? With FRITZ! it's easy. Thanks to our Smart Home devices, everything is planned as if by magic... or perhaps something more macabre.
Dangling skeleton lights and electric candles inside jack-o'-lanterns are even scarier if they randomly turn on and off. All you need to do is connect your Halloween lights to the FRITZ!DECT 200 smart plug, before turning on "random mode" and setting up a schedule in the FRITZ!Box's user interface. For more information check out our handy guide.
A bit of ambient fog is a must for any Halloween gathering. With the FRITZ!DECT 200 and a smart door sensor, you can create super-scary effects for when your (unsuspecting) guests arrive. Simply register the smart plug and the door sensor with the DECT button on the FRITZ!Box, mount the door sensor to the wall and connect the fog machine to the FRITZ!DECT 200. The only thing left to do is set up a schedule in the Smart Home Profile of the door sensor, activating the smart plug and the fog machine whenever the door is opened.
With the FRITZ!Box media server you can easily stream music and films throughout your entire home network. You can play spooky sound effects and your Halloween playlist in every room of your home, keeping your guests entertained wherever they end up.
You can set also up the FRITZ!DECT 210 smart plug to control the heating on your balcony or in the backyard. All you need to do is set up two FRITZ!DECT devices as a group in the FRITZ!Box user interface. In the FRITZ!Box's Smart Home area click the "New Group" button and enable the "Temperature" option. If the temperature outside falls below the temperature defined in the FRITZ!Box user interface, the FRITZ!DECT smart plug will automatically turn the heater on, and will stay on until the desired temperature is reached. For more information check out this service document.
Setting up a FRITZ! Hotspot for your guests is not as scary as you might think: simply activate it under "Wireless" in the FRITZ!Box User Interface. And it's no tricks, only treats with the new FRITZ!OS 7, which makes choosing FRITZ! Hotspot settings even easier. You decide whether you want to give your Halloween party guests open wireless guest access, or one protected with a password. For more information check out this guide.
