Taking place annually, the Broadband World Forum is the largest event in the global broadband industry. Over three jam-packed days in Berlin, AVM will be showcasing its FRITZ!Box portfolio, the brand new FRITZ!OS 7 and the latest mesh technology under the slogan “Broadband meets Mesh”. Visitors to the BBWF can also attend talks from tech experts on hot topics such as mesh and fiber optics.
AVM’s stand at the BBWF will be buzzing with the latest additions to its product portfolio, including the new FRITZ!Box 7583. This new do-it-all router for DSL connections can be used for all DSL technologies, from VDSL, vectoring and 35b supervectoring to G.fast with 106 MHz and 212 MHz. Thanks to its dual line interfaces, the FRITZ!Box can also bundle these connections and increase data throughput rates to up to 600 Mbit/s or 3 Gbit/s with G.fast (212 MHz). The FRITZ!Box 7583 also comes equipped with dual-band wireless AC+N, four gigabit LAN ports and two USB ports and a complete telephone system, making it the perfect high-performance model for any home or office.
Focus will also be on the new FRITZ!OS 7, which helps you create the perfect Mesh WiFi experience in every corner of your home. The major upgrade allows you to use multiple FRITZ!Boxes as mesh repeaters, meaning the additional FRITZ! products allow telephony and Smart Home to be integrated into FRITZ! Mesh network for the first time. Other new FRITZ!OS 7 features include faster connection times for storing media on a FRITZ!Box to FRITZ!Fon functions, a new mesh connection overview to more Smart Home convenience.
Visitors will have the chance to find out more about Mesh in one of our expert presentations “Home WiFi: The Integral Building Block”. There will also be a not-to-be-missed talk about “Three Problems to avoid in FTTH Deployments”.
The FRITZ!Repeater 3000 will also be on display in the German capital. The new Mesh Repeater has three radio units with smart mesh repeating and two gigabit LAN ports, making it perfect for blanketing even very large homes or offices in WiFi. The new repeater transmits in the 2.4 GHz and 5-GHz frequency bands simultaneously while an additional 5 GHz wireless LAN band allows you to connect all devices in the FRITZ!Box's mesh network. In addition, the repeater makes efficient use of the entire wireless spectrum, meaning you’ll always have speedy and stable connections, whether you’re playing games, streaming videos or just checking your emails.
