Effective immediately, the FRITZ!App WLAN is ready for Apple's new operating system iOS 13, which is to be released very soon. To allow the app to display wireless LAN information, Apple 's iOS 13 requires the activated location. With the release of iOS 13, you will be asked to allow location access (you will be asked only once, after opening the app for the first time after updating to the new iOS or iPadOS).
We would like to point out that the FRITZ!App WLAN does not use location data, only the wireless LAN information (SSID). The latter is needed for app services such as measuring the wireless LAN connection quality. With iOS 13 too, no data from the FRITZ!App WLAN will be transmitted to AVM or third parties.
The FRITZ!App WLAN provides you with the most important information about your wireless network. Use the app to measure easily the connection speed of your smartphone or tablet at different locations in the wireless network. The FRITZ!App WLAN also helps you to find the ideal position for your repeater and simplifies access to your wireless guest network for friends and family.
