How to update to the latest version of FRITZ!OS

Follow these simple instructions to update your FRITZ!Box, FRITZ!Powerline, FRITZ!Repeater or FRITZ!Smart Gateway to the latest version of FRITZ!OS:

  1. Open the user interface of the device. Enter "fritz.box", "fritz.powerline","fritz.repeater" or "fritz.smartgateway" in the web browser.
  2. If required, log in with your user name and password.
  3. Select "Wizards".
  4. Go to the Wizards and click "Update" or "Update Firmware".

How to update firmware for FRITZ! products without a user interface

Some FRITZ!Powerline products do not have their own user interface - e.g. FRITZ!Powerline  510E, 530E, 1000E und 1220E. The firmware for these products can be updated as follows:

  1. Open the FRITZ!Box user interface. Enter "fritz.box", "fritz.powerline" or "fritz.repeater" in your browser.
  2. If required, log in with your user name and password.
  3. Select "Home Network > Mesh".
  4. Click "Update" next to your FRITZ!Powerline product.
